Need

I was convinced that this had to be a long poem, wrote the title and the first stanza then let it sit and "cook" for a while.  I looked at it again and tried to compose the second stanza but nothing would come.
It was only when I re-read it that I realised that it was actually complete.

Called you to me
So I could hold you
And ask you
Please
Hold me
