An actual observation invited me to build a poem around it and so . . . Pendulum - 11 Apr 15 Pendulum marks Interval between departures Sparrows feed at the tube Of seeds Hanging from a branch Sudden scare Sparrows fly to cover Pendulum counts Again . . . swinging from a branch.
Just a pure Love song is an offering today. Lasting Memories - 10 Apr 15 Fading moments Of a welcome day Memories will linger Never fading Always lasting because The Love you share Will always keep me warm Our passions Constant Written on my Birthday for someone really special.
A song which comes from the Dreamtime ~ the Spirit time before time. Songs Of Ages Past - 09 Apr 15 And who will sing The songs of ancient times Or tell the tales That made our grandmothers Smile in the night Sitting in silence Waiting for the songs Grandmother whispered These songs were old Long before I heard them Songs from the dawn Recalled in our dreams Earth heard them When waves kissed the shore And the wind sang along At least, this is my personal interpretation of Dreamtime and where our dreams and legends are born.
A new limite surréaliste poem which grew out of the change of months in the year. Unexpected Hue - 08 Apr 15 Hues of the unexpected Colour shifting Lavender kisses sound March wishes danced On April’s bed In the prelude to summer Her chorus Dangles in the mind Painted with an autumn Brushstroke Anticipation
Unexpected words Expected things are often not as anticipated ~ which adds a real interest to life.
A poem which was inspired by writing Love songs ~ one of the Loveliest occupations I know. Writing - 07 Apr 15 I wrote me Into your life With a few words Love poetry Songs which spoke Directly to your Soul You wrote me Into your life As you sketched A poem in a few lines The lines which Burned in my Soul We wrote An Eternal song Words taken from The whole of time Just to be shaped For us by us Writing Love songs ARE fun.
A Love song which seems to be unfinished though it leaves so much room for the adventure. Fearless Lips - 07 Apr 15 Fearless lips Wandered Across my cheeks Left a trail of kisses Sang a soft song To the sun Ballad whispered To take us both Going on the adventure?
I cannot say too much without giving away the "plot" of the poem.
Looking Into - 02 Apr 15
Ancient mysteries Unfolded from a library Scrolls on shelves Untouched For centuries The folded parchment Still soft Belies the age Wrapped within Messages Still fresh You knew me then While looking into Me You know me now
This poem could be included in the "limite surréaliste" sequence and, before you ask, that is not a typo in the title line.
Noonbeams - 31 Mar 15
Sketch the Moon From memory Filling in details As I go Shadow of the sun Cast on my face Leaving the raindrops Of noon to dampen My thoughts In the light of the Moon Daylight nights Shaving images Of the savings Times in the Moon
A hidden wish Kept private To allow for growth To allow for Intimate conversation Between the lines Which others can see Whispered Love songs Meant only for us To hear and see Now let us whisper Our hidden wishes
Days in fires Ignite our dreams Take them for a walk Through mystic woodlands Where the Moon Whispers our names Kisses them together … Just a dream? … Easy to think But a blue Moon Is not such a rare happening Blue Moon happens Every day
Today the post is again slightly out of creation sequence so that it will be relevant to the Lunar Eclipse on 03 Apr 15.
Moon In Eclipse - 03 Apr 15
Behold the speckled Moon Bleeding softly in the night Menstrual Moon When time is right Earth hides her From the Sun Allows her time For her time Earth curtain Drawn aside Moon smiles sweetly Again
This was a "Blood Moon" which is caused when sunlight is refracted by Earth's atmosphere to shine on the Moon. Only the red end of the spectrum actually gets to the Moon thus making her seem to be red.
It was rather cool that night and I felt that commemorating it with a poem would be good.
Night Chill - 26 Mar 15
Afternoon gone Evening faded Night closes in with chill … Breath No stars Breathing cloud In the streets Leaving signs of life Behind Footsteps lost among Whispering trees Frost threatens Breath paints crystals In the air
I did not actually go out that evening but could feel the chill through my [closed] window.

A quote I found...
"It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else."
I must be braver than I thought.
