Dawn Watcher

I woke early and looked out of my bedroom window - what I saw inspired this poem; I had to wait for the evening before I was able to illustrate it.

Sky growing pale
Swirls of mist
Obscuring details
Moon
No longer pregnant
Rides low
In the western sky
Watching for the dawn
