Predawn Song [Haikū]

I was intending to write a somewhat longer poem but the first three lines flowed and inspiration stopped.  After a short while I returned to what I had written and noticed that the lines had formed a familiar pattern.

Silence of predawn
Broken by a Spirit song
Welcoming the sun





A little poem to close the year.
