Winter Sky

A poem to celebrate the passage of winter into spring.





Winter Sky  -  12 Apr 15

Under the winter sky
We waited
Felt the new growth
Begin to stir within
As Earth melted

Winter grey faded
Into blue
The sun warmed us
Showed the coming days
Opened our eyes

Winter skies a memory
Only seen in the moments
Of rain
Passing through a day
Watering the flowers





An occasional winter grey is welcome to enhance the brightness of blue.
