Pendulum


An actual observation invited me to build a poem around it and so . . . 



Pendulum  -  11 Apr 15

 Pendulum marks
Interval between departures
Sparrows feed at the tube
Of seeds
Hanging from a branch
Sudden scare
Sparrows fly to cover
Pendulum counts
Again



. . . swinging from a branch.

    IT MUST BE LOVELY TO WATCH THE BIRDS. I CAN HEAR THEM SINGING, EVEN FROM INSIDE MY APARTMENT, BUT THEY HIDE IN THE TREES.
