A Love song inspired by a chance-seen image of sand falling from a hand. The rest came from my Muse.
Touching Dreams - 28 Dec 14
Grains of sand Between my toes Under my fingers I touch Let them trickle From my hands Each one a crystal Holding a dream Fragments of we Shining always We touch Let the waves Take us Weave our dreams Together
Love the way these form from little images and thoughts.
A poem taking me into night so that I can meet . .
Another of the "Five Thousand Miles" sequence of Love songs.
Dark Wind - 23 Dec 14
As the dark wind Blows through ebon branches Sweeping stars from The moonlight path As the dark night Paints shadows across the sky Between the cloud And moonbow The wind whispers A lullaby to carry me Into sleep So I can travel The five thousand miles To be with my Love
Dark mirror Your beauty hidden In the folds of night Mirror reflects What we want to see Mirror’s dark mystery Tries to hide Your beauty I want to see you As you stand before me Shining in the mirror Your light Shatters the dark
A little twist which shows what I am really looking at.
Another experiment in structure. The number of words in each line changes from the initial kisses till the next then the pattern is repeated providing a rhythm ~ like breathing or the movements of waves.
Something inspired by kisses.
Kisses - 02 Dec 14
Kisses Sweetest keys To unlock Hearts Open them to Love The greatest gift Given freely Kisses On hands Gentle neck nuzzles Raise the temperature now Passion burn starting Firing our Kisses
She used words to me Words that nobody Had ever spoken to me Before They flowed into me Over me and touched me In ways which flooded my senses Filled my mind Left me with a single thought One word burned brightly Love
You may feel that a re-read of the poem "Drifting" posted on 30 Nov 14 may be used as a Prelude to this piece. This poem is constructed in a symphonic form so that four parts can be read together.
Drifting [Ocean Symphony} - 30 Nov 14
I ~ Opening
Slow ~ with the waves
Feeling the gentle surge
Spin me gently
Turn me to face the sun
II ~ Seaweed Forest
Mermaids dance around the fronds
Tails flow in myriad colours
Catch the rippling sun
Their song of enchantment
Opens Hearts to the beauty
Capturing the moment
III ~ Poseidon’s Gate
Ancient doors reflect the beauty
A welcome within the coral halls
Written in crystal words
Of the aquamarine harmonies
IV ~ Home
Warm ~ kiss of the sun
Wet ~ the ocean’s kiss says secret Love
Dry ~ the sand beneath my feet Earth’s kiss
Hidden ~ a mermaid’s kiss
Remembered ~ held in mind the gifts
My Lover’s kiss to welcome me home
This poem is structured as an acrostic but, in feel, it is intentionally rather disjointed rather in the manner of a half-remembered dream.
Imagining [Acrostic] - 28 Nov 14
In an open thought Mountainous clouds tower Air torn by lightning Gems of ice scatter before the dawn Inside a secret dream Never told in waking moments Imaging the imagination Night smiles hold the secrets Gifts in the dark

A quote I found...
"It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else."
I must be braver than I thought.
