Serpent Disguise


Another weather observation with an added extra.



Serpent Disguise  -  02 Aug 15

 Hissing on the
Conservatory roof
Rain pretending to
Be a different species

 Droning with its
Tail in a musician’s
Lips the serpent sings
Another disguise



For those who do not know a Serpent was a wind instrument popular in days gone by.

    I DID NOT KNOW THAT ABOUT THE SERPENT. ON FIRST READING, THIS ALMOST HAS A FEELING OF LIMITE SURRÉALISTE TO IT. I LIKE THIS!

      The serpent is usually only found in Mediæval or Mediæval style music, I guess the idea of seemingly biting on a serpent's tail would seem rather strange.
