Moon Watcher

Seeing a photograph of a Moonbow and having witnessed some in the past, I was inspired to create this poem.

Moon Watcher  -  03 Aug 15

Ring around the Moon
Eye in the sky of night
Watching us
Eye of day
Moon still watches
Unnoticed in the blue

It is quite a stunning sight.

    1. A Moonbow is also referred to as a "ring around the Moon" and can be just an halo form or an huge arc or anything between. These are caused by Moonlight reflecting off tiny ice crystals high in the atmosphere.
I have personally witnessed both of these extreme forms and they are beautiful.
It is something which can be seen at night but the daylight hours are probably too bright for a Moonbow to be visible.

Thank you for your question dani ♥ I hope that somewhen you will see one too.
