Reaching out to the stars
Each one is a Love letter
From you
Filling my sky
Drifting into my Heart
Filling it completely
With your words
Though I have to admit that feeding my Love does have a certain appeal.
Because these poems are so short I decided that I would offer two today.
The first one is a Senryū which arrived a few nights ago and the second one, a little Love song, was birthed last night.

The skies are full
With the dreams
And memories
Of a near forgotten

A wish and a hoped-for

The spring is flowing

Love songs just seem to flow from me recently ~ happily.
This is a Love song which grew in the mid-afternoon and only needed a couple of words to be added to make it complete.

I really don't think I need say anything further.
I read something in a tweet saying "you broke my heart" but I felt that this was not the message I wanted to give so I composed this poem ~ yes, another Love song.

Inspired by seeing an image of the Moon and, in part, by a memory of a Carole King song of which this is the title line. Another little Love song grew.

On a cold night

This is a response of sorts to the last "Dance" poem and I felt it appropriate to take it a little further and make it a bit more sensuous.

This poem changed direction just after I started to write and I feel that the result is better than anticipated.

This poem called out to be written in the early afternoon ~ I have looked at it repeatedly and find that I do not want to change anything.

I find that the poems which seem to write themselves work more smoothly than others.
Especially if they are Love songs.
Inspired by a Rumi quote ~ I felt the message was interesting enough to build a poem around it.

I was going to write something really different but, it didn't feel right and I actually felt really uncomfortable with it. One day, when I feel brave, I might publish it here or on Dolphin Visions.

I felt inspired to write this after hearing, or maybe mishearing, something in a DVD I was watching.

This poem grew when I was in bed trying to get to sleep but Muse would not let me ~ she insisted that I made notes on my phone.

Sliding
A silken shadow
Slips over me
Sensuously
Warm dark
Welcoming
With her touch

Under the folds
Of fabric
Her fingers find me
I considered taking this further but felt that leaving it hanging would create a better feeling of the sensuous nature and would allow for a possible sequel at some point.
A simple statement ~ nothing more needs to be said I think.
