Crow Serenade


Hearing the song caused this poem to come into being.



Crow Serenade  -  05 Jul 15

 Crows call
Serenade the predawn
Curtains of colour

 Hint of sun
Highlight wings
Iridescent feathers

 Chorus of birds
Sing out to join
Crow serenade



Interesting how the dawn chorus seems to be initiated by one species before the rest join in.

    AH, I LOVE THIS ~ ESPECIALLY THE FIRST VERSE.

    THERE IS SOME SPECIES OF BIRD HERE WITH A VERY DISTINCTIVE CALL THAT I HEAR NOT ONLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY, BUT ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT AS WELL. I WISH I KNEW WHAT THEY ARE. LOVELY TO LISTEN TO.

      I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE BECAUSE THEY'RE IN THE TREES WHERE I CAN'T SEE THEM. A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO NONETHELESS.
