Smokey Clouds

Another observation-driven poem, the images seen in early evening as the light started to change.

Smokey Clouds  -  29 Sep 14

Clouds
Pretending to be smoke
Fanned across the sky
By the wings of birds
Sailing home to roost
Before the evening
Turns into night

Just watching from my office window.

  1. is that true? can birds flying through a cloud really change the shape of it? that never occurred to me.

yet again, your unique view of the world and brilliant way of evoking imagery make this poem special!

    1. Have you not heard of "The Butterfly Effect"?
This states that a butterfly "clapping" its wings in one country can cause a hurricane elsewhere on Earth.
So why not a bird causing a draft by flying could fan a cloud into a different shape or change its direction?

Thank you for your thoughtful comments dani ♥
