Words On The Ground

Many years ago I did a sequence of poems and statements on the ground and watched the reactions of people as they passed, the most interesting was from a schoolboy who erased a couple of words with his shoe.

Chalk from a determined hand 

Scribed under cover of night 

Designed to inspire thought

Or just to provoke reaction 

Simple words on the ground

Often trigger a powerful reaction

I think most people liked what they saw.
