Winter

Solstice has passed but I do not feel Summer yet.

Winter seems so far away 

Even though Summer is 

Here but 

So cold

Unwelcoming in its

Grasp 

Waiting for the warmth 

Promised but never felt 

Tears turn to ice 

. 

I cannot remember a June this cool.
