Ideas In The Dark

.
Sketches of another world.

.
Can you hear me

Whispers in a moment
As darkness wraps the mortal frame
And a silent cry
Shouts out a plea
Can you hear me

Pearl in the rose

Held in a crimson fold of silk
With drops of dew for company
She rests but shares her beauty
The pearl glistens in the light
Of the rose

Echo of the distant moon

Riding the horizon she comes
To see me as I wait patiently
On a sunless shore listening to the waves
Her song once heard is never forgotten
The echo of the distant moon
Holds me still

.
Somewhere in time and space I watch and listen.
