This is an acrostic with a strong element of "limite surréaliste" to add a little spice.

Under ashen skies
Night comes to claim the day
Evening washed dreams into phantasms
Xanadu seems too far now
Perhaps it was just a dream
Rubicon reflects a journey
Cross great divides and burning stars
Thunder seals an opened door
Even windows with no light within
Dark night dark dreams





I really like the effects created by the acrostic structure.
