Unwanted Tales


I am not certain what triggered this poem apart from those moments when the mind creates scenarios which feel uncomfortable.



Unwanted Tales  -  16 Sep 15

 Telling unwanted tales
Into the morning
Hoping the sun
Will dissolve them
Return them
To the place
They were born



Releasing them into the sunlight to be burned away.

    AH, YES! WHETHER NIGHTMARES, MEMORIES, FEARS OR JUST IMAGININGS, UNWANTED OR UNPLEASANT TALES OFTEN COME OUT IN THE DARK DON'T THEY? AT LEAST THE SUNLIGHT USUALLY BANISHES THEM FROM OUR CONSCIOUSNESS.
