Out There

Eyes and mind wanting to explore.

Out There  -  12 Oct 15

Vision
Taking in everything
Still
Knowing that out there
Is more
Than can be imagined
Hungry eyes
Craving
More

Everything.

Secret Places

Personal secrets shared with only one other.

Secret Places  -  11 Oct 15

Those intimate areas
Times
Subtle places
Where secrets
Are shared
The places
Where we are
Always together
Our secrets
Are never shown
To anyone
But us

Places and things we have.

Owl Spells

Have you not heard them?

Owl Spells  - 10 Oct 15

Summoning the sun
While still in darkness
The owls conspire
Lay the charms
To close the night
Open the day

Owls are master spellweavers.

Warm Kiss

A Love song with a hint of Lust song.

Warm Kiss  -  09 Oct 15

The taste on her lips
Sweet
Unexpected
Warmer than honey
Just as enticing
And all she asked
Was to share
Those moments
Together
In the kisses

I have tasted kisses like these.

Dream Snare

Another night-time poem with owls.

Dream Snare  -  08 Oct 15

Holding onto me
Not letting go
Walking in the forests
Of the dream
We shared Love's snare

We shared a goodnight kiss
Whispered I Love you
And the owls
Sang us to sleep

Owl song is very relaxing.

Exodust

Another of my play on words  poems.  Exo from the root meaning outside, combined with dust and exodus, giving a whole new word with a meaning belonging to it alone.

Exodust  -  08 Oct 15

On distant worlds
From times unmeasured
Passing feet have stirred
The dust of a thousand tears
Memories powdered
Forming the desert
No oasis ever touches

I really Love playing with words.

The Song Of You

Thoughts of someone really special inspired this poem.

The Song Of You  -  07 Oct 15

The blank page
On which the poem will form
Written in the blood
Of my Love
Held for you
Since time began
Spoken with the breath
Of my voice
As I weave the thoughts
That say your name

Really special.

Wind Stirring

Watching the movements every day at this time of year.

Wind Stirring  -  06 Oct 15

Calling the Spirit
Of autumn
To dance across
The roof
Sing through
Barely open windows
Stirring the rain-soaked leaves
Into new patterns

There are always new patterns to be seen.

Water Edge

Mental observations of the day and how it felt.

Water Edge  -  05 Oct 15

Cloud holds a phantom stream
An edge of water
That still cuts
From the low-flying cloud
Parting waters
Parting thoughts
Damp
Curtains of cloud

Visions of water form clouds.

I Know

A Love song of understanding.

I Know  -  04 Oct 15

In those soft sweet moments
When you look at me
I know
I know you
And I know how you feel
Because
I feel the same

Linked Souls always understand.

Fairy Tales

A little play on words.

Fairy Tales  -  04 Oct 15

Fairy tails
Wings glisten iridescent
Reflecting sunlight in
Prismatic glow
Tails fascinate
As do the tales

I Love a good Fairy Tail.

Thinking

One of those little Love songs.

Thinking  -  03 Oct 15

Opening of the day
Moving from light to night
Takes my thoughts
Down random paths
Finding me after sunset
In a land of mystery
Leading me
To somewhere only you
Can take me
Your offer of
A night in shining stardust

Always thinking about YOU

Turning Screw

This poem was birthed in response to events in my life not going as planned.

Turning Screw  -  02 Oct 15

When something changes
Without warning
Fails
Then seems to work
So it offers a way
Then suddenly
Not
Screw in the pain

Not a pleasant thing to happen.

Brushstrokes

Missing someone makes me want to write their name across the sky.

Brushstrokes  -  01 Oct 15

Stories written with a broad brush
Across an open sky
The image is nearly complete

The sigh that marks the space
Where someone is missing
I write you in

Written with a very broad brush so she can see it clearly.

Non-verbal Communication

Allowing thoughts to do all the talking.

Non-verbal Communication  -  30 Sep 15

Reaching out to touch you
Take your hand
Eyes make contact
With a smile
And a sparkle
You know what I say
I know what you say
Our thoughts are sufficient
We know

Sometimes it is the best way to communicate.

Chronons

A speculative poem bordering on the limite surréaliste.

Chronons  -  30 Sep 15

Listening to the clock
Audibly marking artificial
Divisions of passage
Wind marks the movement
Of a branch
As it sways
The whisper left hanging
In the air
By the passage
Sigh marks the sadness
Felt caused by the absence
Of someone missed
Chronons touched
In the journey
Through time

Just as a photon in the smallest useful “piece” of light a chronon has a similar part of the measurement of time.

Juct a thought.

Sun Kiss Moon Blush

Another of the Moon poems somewhat inspired by a new eclipse.

Sun Kiss Moon Blush  -  29 Sep 15

Kissed in the night
Unexpected
She tried to hide
Her blushes
He just repeated
His vow
To keep her safe and
Love her always
Then kissed her again

Another little Love song.

Shadow Real

A Love song with just a little Lust song rolled up within it.

Shadow Real  -  28 Sep 15

I kissed the shadow
Of the image
Of the memory
Of the thought of you
Insubstantial
But it grew
Until
The thoughts
Took the memory
Formed the image
And the shadow faded
But the kiss
Remains
Forever

Dream becoming real.

Arriving In The Night

Really not certain where this poem came from.

Arriving In The Night  -  27 Sep 15

Slipping through the shadows
Darkness hides the movement
From prying eyes
Sliding through dreams
Skipping through the streets
Looking to find a dream
To ride upon
Into the night

In fact, I could not recall what the poem was until I opened the document.

Time Shadow

Another owl story linked into time.

Time Shadow  -  26 Oct 15

Gnomon marking moments
Sparkles with the memories
Scattered back
In the silence of the night
Owls gather the daysong
Diamonds glisten
Remembering
Those wonderful moments
Created through the days
In the sunshine

A sundial is a magical way of marking the passing of time.

Sliding Into Dream

An idea of the way my thoughts and dreams work.

Sliding Into Dream  -  25 Sep 15

Whether I am awake
Sleeping
No difference
Your rainbows flow
Around me
Gather me up
A gentle wave
Takes me
Sliding into dream
With you

Sometimes just purely Lovely.

Moon Touched

Just a simple feeling.

Moon Touched  -  24 Sep 15

Soft sliver breath
She smiled
Offered a kiss
And with a touch
Raised me to her
Walked around me
Danced my Soul
She smiled on
Sang a gentle lullaby
Took me
Into night with her

Love and being cared while about to enter sleep.

Pendulum [Acrostic]

Playing with words again or word, just one word.

Pendulum [ Acrostic]  -  23 Sep 15

Pausing in our thoughts
Equinox of autumn
Now before we move on
Delving into the
Unexplored land of winter
Light diminishing
Under the travel of the sun
Midpoint of the journey

I really do like the challenge which comes with an acrostic.

Dream Within

An example of layered dream structures.

Dream Within  -  22 Sep 15

I heard
A long slow rumble
Dragon purr
In the warmth
Of the lair
I awoke
A smooth hand
Stroked my cheek
Wandered down
I awoke
Rain beat
Against my window
Listening to a record
Suddenly silence
As the power failed
I awoke
And the sand
Under my hands
Began to irritate me
Gritty
I awoke

When experienced it can be quite confusing.

Rain Tears

Another song of autumn.

Rain Tears  -  21 Sep 15

Sky cries
Mourn the passing
Of summer
Colours washed
From the leaves
Once green
Was brown
Now gone

Rather fitting because, as I build this post, it is raining quite heavily adding to the autumnal feel.

Waiting For You

A love song filled with longing.

Waiting For You  -  20 Sep 15

I stood on the sand
Ignoring the waves
Lapping around
My legs
Watching intently
For a sign
Sail
Masthead lamp
Something to say
You were on your way
And
Still I wait for you

And the waves still lap.

Autumn Music

Returning from shopping, passing the church and the roadway is littered with fallen leaves.

Autumn Music  -  19 Sep 15

Wind sighing
Through the branches
Getting bare
Beneath my feet
Leaves scrape and crunch
In time to my steps
Autumn songs
Start to play and the music
Fills my ears

Autumn has a special melody.

Silent Wishes

Those hours are filled with wonderful thoughts.

Silent Wishes  -  18 Sep 15

In the quiet hours
After midnight
I hold the thoughts
Of you clearly
In my mind
So I can send
Wishes to you

And those wishes are rather special.

Hope Waits

Bit of a Lust song for you today.

Hope Waits  -  17 Sep 15

Hope waits
Ready to kiss
And
Be kissed
Lips already burn
With desire
Wants to share
The flame

I rather like that desire.

Unwanted Tales

I am not certain what triggered this poem apart from those moments when the mind creates scenarios which feel uncomfortable.

Unwanted Tales  -  16 Sep 15

Telling unwanted tales
Into the morning
Hoping the sun
Will dissolve them
Return them
To the place
They were born

Releasing them into the sunlight to be burned away.

Lonely Sky Lonely Sea

A general feeling of loneliness and desire brought this poem into being.

Lonely Sky Lonely Sea  -  15 Sep 15

Under a lonely sky
I watch the waves
On the sea
Wishing that
I was that sea
So I could be there
To tell you
How much I Love you
As I lap
Against your shore

The feeling lasted long enough for the poem to be birthed.
