Jackdaw Roostcall


Pure observation brought this poem into being



Jackdaw Roostcall  -  27 Aug 15

 Jackdaws flying
Through the evening
Sunset passed
Sky still bright
Calling to their friends
Go home
Time to roost
Heading for the nests
Flying south
Toward the Moon



I found it fascinating that the Moon was low in the southern sky at the time.

      I just saw the direction they were flying and when I looked out of another window I was pleased to see the Moon.
