Other Side

Another poem in the "Five Thousand Miles" sequence.

Other Side  -  27 Jun 15

The other side of sunset
Unexpected colours
Illuminate the way
Five thousand miles
Sounds so far
And yet
Distant yet together
We watch
In our world
In our dream
Another sunrise

I rather like these long-distance stories.

Manifest

Another of my "thank you" type of poems.

Manifest  -  25 Jun 15

Being with you
In my dream
Hoped for feelings
Manifest
Between us
Through us
My dream became
Our dream
Because
Being together

Because ~ thank you.

Dragon Dawn

A short poem today holding a wish for a journey.

Dragon Dawn  -  25 Jun 15

Come
Let us ride our Dragons
Fly past the setting sun
Into the place where
A new dawn awaits

Flying with you.

Love's Waves

A little message of support...

Love's Waves  -  23 Jun 13

I
Think that
I shall always be
With you in all things
Whenever you do not
Expect a hand
Reaching out
To
Lift you
And help you
Keep your equilibrium steady
My Love’s waves wrap you
I know I shall
Always be with
You because
Love

...for someone really special.

Pomme d'Amour

Another chance sighting, this time of what was to be the title line, brought this poem into being.

Pomme d'Amour  -  22 Jun 15

I give you an apple
My Love
As a token of my Love
For you
One bite each and
The juice
Flows to fill
Our mouths
And to fill
Our senses

Why it was ever thought that a tomato was a Love apple will probably always be a mystery.

Noctilucent [Acrostic]

Another offering from the acrostic series of poems.

Noctilucent [Acrostic]  -  21 Jun 15

Night shining for us
Over our thoughts
Clouds bearing dreams
Throughout the empty sky
Illuminate our secret wishes
Love waits for us
Under the blanket of gentle light
Caressed by the light
Enticing and inviting
Nocturnal wishes
Taste the wild dream

Noctilucent roughly means night shining in Latin. They are clouds which most commonly observed in the summer months at latitudes between 50° and 70° north and south of the equator

Fog Hides

Another weather observation poem because of a full day of "low-flying cloud", anywhere else it would be called fog or mist.

Fog Hides  -  20 Jun 15

Fog in night
Fog in day
Dark grey
Light grey
Colours washed away
Memory says
Blue here
Green here
But all are hidden
In the fog

The cloud does not have the lift so it bumps into the land.

Numinous [Acrostic]

Another little poem playing with words in acrostic form.

Numinous [Acrostic]  -  19 Jun 15

New views of the world
Understanding what we see
Mystical thoughts
Inspire insight into everywhen
Never a doubt
Otherwhen holds us
Unveiling normal convention
Surrounded by Spirit

Meaning ~ having a strong religious or spiritual quality; indicating or suggesting the presence of a divinity

Debate

How many times have I witnessed this debate.

Debate  -  18 Jun 15

Sleep
Tells the eyes to close
Brain
Says that there is more to do
Heart
Comfort questions what
Sleep
Winning the debate

And, just sometimes, sleep does not win.

Kisses Open

A rather special Love song with a hint of sensuality.

Kisses Open  -  17 Jun 15

Gentle kisses
Laid on each eyelid
Opens my inner eyes
To the beauty of you
Your kisses
Always open me
To your Love

I Love seeing with ALL my eyes.
