First Haiku for quite a while.

Silent [Haiku]       -      28 Mar 22

Outside my window
Branch of a tree conducts a
Silent symphony

Thank you to the wind.

Midnight Themes

Another music inspired poem.

Midnight Themes  -  18 May 18

Music flows through my mind
Colours flood my thoughts
Blending into a symphony
Of strange ideas
Themes born in midnight hours
As conscious minds
Dream the music

There is also a colour based concept.

Quiet Breaths

A soft and gentle Love song.

Quiet Breaths  -  02 Oct 16

Here in bed
Listening to you
The sound of your breathing
Soft music to me
I hear you always
When you talk
A symphony plays
Quietly in my Heart

The breaths can always be heard.

Rainbow Spells

A little bit of weather magic.

Rainbow Spells  -  16 Mar 15

Listen to the rainbow
Symphony of colour
Drowns the rain
With wordless spells
And incantations

Always like a little magic.

Dark Star Symphony

Another Love song, this one is just a little step beyond the "limite surréaliste".

Dark Star Symphony  -  10 Nov 13

Dark star
Patterns of petals
Painted across
Her sky

Clouds wetly shine
Veins drawn
On faded hands
Holding

Rose flowering
Hidden manuscript
Music of the stars
Playing

Star Heart
Warm in the touch
Her breath caresses
Love grows

I call this a symphony because it is presented in four movements, each with a different flavour but linked.

Symphony

Nearly done, just one more poem in this set.

Symphony  -  16 Jun 13

Gathering of the elements
Energy flows
Sparkling through us

Spark of light
Coruscating
Fires us into life

Life grows
A symphony of light
Shining through us

Reflect the light
As you play along
The symphony flows

I have enjoyed creating this "Angels" set ~ hope you enjoyed reading it.

Butterfly

Another poem, the birthing of which straddled the midnight hour - so the date given is that of the conception rather than completion.

Butterfly  -  18 May 13

Slow spiral dance
Butterfly knows the moves
Has watched
Through time
Watching us slide
Through every step

Spheres play
An infinite
Symphony
For us

Symphonic Love songs
Cascade through us
Life through Eternity

Let us sing

I really Love it when Muse offers her little suggestions.

Shades of Night

In these lines so many meanings lie woven, intertwined, bound in the fabric.
I read my words repeatedly and each time see something different ... what do you see?

Shades of Night  -  25 Jan 13

Opening to the dark
Mystic shades circle
In nightshade robes

Beautiful woman
Crying in her night
Room encloses her dream

Tears blur the candle
Painted stars peel from her walls
Make a doorway to somewhen

A peal of bells ring out
Cracked … discordant
Dawn breaks the night

Broken worlds lost in time
Grass conducts a symphony
Wave on wave

Ocean dark
White horses ride the waves
Canter cantata opening move

Opening to the dark
. . .

Written in the very early hours of the day, ages since sunset and more till sunrise ... Moon keeps me company as Muse whispers.

Haikū 54

Another little collection from the hand-written Haikū archives.

Symphony  -  07 Jun 10

Symphony of Love
Stars, counterpointed by the
Moon ... in last night's dance

Mace  -  07 Jun 10

Edges of the lake
Reed-mace stands in the water
Naiad staff of rank

Dangle  -  08 Jun 10

Teasing me again
You dangle your promises
before me, like bait

Fix  -  08 Jun 19

Your Love ... no quick fix
permanent cure for heartache
Thank you my Lover

Body-parts  -  08 Jun 10

Look at my body~
parts of which ... craving your touch
... cannot help myself

More things soon...

Rain Flows

I had just finished writing a review of a draft poem a lovely friend intended to post and included in what I had said I wrote the line "Rain flows in my mind". I realised then that I had to do something with it and gradually the remaining words flowed into my mind. After a few more prompts from Muse the poem was completed today.

Rain Flows - 24 Aug 11

Soft drumming on the roof
Trickle from an open tap
Within the cloud
Rain flows in my mind

Each drip translated
Into light
Scintillating
Coruscating
I see the colours
Of the sound

Rainbows writhe
In syncopated symphonies
Dance in light
Across the rivers
In my mind

Seeing the song
Hearing the light
Feeling the dance
Of the rivers
Rain flows in my mind

I offer this to you, make of it what you will - Muse doesn't always explain the meanings of the poems or prose that she inspires - but comments are, as usual, always welcomed.

This is an offering to http://dversepoets.com/2011/08/23/openlinknight-week-6/
