Lost Days

.
Maybe they can be recovered.

.
Lost Days       -      05 May 21

Stretched between
Sunrise and sunset
A gauze filament
Of remembered hours
Tie together elements
Of the lost days
I hope to find
Eventually

.
I wonder if anyone can help.

Last Year Of The Day

.
An inverted twist in reality.

.
Last Year Of The Day    -     10 Feb 20

Have you watched
The dying embers
Of the sunrise
On the
Last year of the dae

.
Hope your mind does not get too disconnected while thinking about this poem.

Waiting For You

.
Waiting is good when you know the end point.

.
Waiting For You      -    19 Dec 19

Dreamstate
Stars above the desert
Sand welcomes my feet
I stand looking
At the point where
Sunrise will happen
Waiting for you

.
I know the end point.

ESWN

.
My take on the cycle of the world and the elements.

.
ESWN    -   18 Sep 18

East

Sunrise
The Eastern sky
Pales
Dew carried back
Into the night

South

Fires of the day
Across the sands
Dried
Baked in the clay
Of yesterday

West

Ocean
Prepares to cradle the sun
Night calls him
To leave the sky
To the stars

North

The stones of the dark
Cold
Realm of stars
Diamonds in the sky
Night waits

.
A set of feelings I have for the circle of the day.

Infinity Of Day

All that is required each day is that eyes are opened to the wonders.

Infinity Of Day  ~  14 May 16

In that fleeting moment
Between
Sunrise and sunset
All things are possible
All things are born
And in those moments
Reality is reshaped
For us to see
Everything

Wonders are everywhere.

Unknown Worlds

Worlds of fantasy but I feel that I have visited them.

Unknown Worlds  -  26 Dec 15

Sunrise brings new colours
To the worlds
In my imagination
Unexpected constellations
Fade into the night
Dawn brings the worlds
To life
I gaze into the unknown worlds

See you there somewhen.

Other Side

Another poem in the "Five Thousand Miles" sequence.

Other Side  -  27 Jun 15

The other side of sunset
Unexpected colours
Illuminate the way
Five thousand miles
Sounds so far
And yet
Distant yet together
We watch
In our world
In our dream
Another sunrise

I rather like these long-distance stories.

Journey In Light

Visions of the Ultimate reality.

Journey In Light  -  06 Feb 15

Infinity in a sunrise
Movements of crystal light
Shine into us
Through us
Beyond into the Universe

Eternity in a sunset
Drift into the timelessness
Between light and dark
Shared with the stars
Forever journeying

Journeying beyond this reality.

Shadows On The Moon

A set of five poems in modern Haikū form.

Shadows On The Moon  -  14 Jan 15

I

Seeing me through
Your eyes
Unexpected insights

II

Sliding out from
Hidden corners
Shadows

III

In the dark of the Moon
Whispering secret
Incantations

IV

Hand in hand
We face the Sunrise
Join the Moondance

V

Shadows on the Moon
Carry all our images
Into the future

I felt that a little change was required.

Venus

Inspired by a sighting at around 06:00 as I looked out at the world.

Venus  -  26 Feb 14

Hint of colour
In the eastern sky
Crone’s bow pointed
At the point of sunrise
Watched over
By Venus in her dawn robe

Hint of light
In my room
Allows me to see your form
I smile as I watch
You gently breathe
Spring air in the night

Venus and the Moon playing hide and seek among small scattered clouds before dawn.

Stillness

Another glimpse of the wilderness, images in the pre-dawn dark.

Stillness  -  01 Nov 13

In the moments
Between moonset
And sunrise
Darkness fills
The wilderness
Hear my song

Your voice
Carries across the sky
Fills my mind
And in the wilderness
I ask you
Sing my song

Silence holds
The trackless land
Waits with bated breath
For sunrise
Stillness holds me
Be my song

There may be more wilderness poems somewhen soon.

Sunrise

The opening line kept reverberating through my mind till I actually wrote it as the first line and the rest seemed to flow.

Sunrise  -  04 Aug 13

Purple sunrise
Paints the desert
Lights the sky
In ways unexpected

Soul paints sunrise
Taking forms
Turning them
We sing them now

Song of sunrise
Wisps of smoky cloud
Wrapped around us
We swim in purple

Still not certain what it is about.

Another Place

This poem grew through the afternoon and evening yesterday and was the result of an almost dyslexic reading of the title of a blog name.

Another Place  -  18 Jun 13

Caught in another world
Between sunrise and
The moment when the sun
Leaves the sky
To begin another journey

Share that space with me
As the stars watch
And whisper
Our names

Caught in another place
Between one word and the next
The beauty of the silence
Inviting us in
To share another journey

Take the journey with me
To explore the other worlds
And we can whisper back
To the stars

Thank you Muse for yet another interesting prompt.

Earth Map

This sequence is progressing further than I first thought it would ~ I am intrigued as to how far Muse will lead me.

Earth Map  -  21 Apr 13

Short night
Day has no time to rest
Before it is reborn

Route is planned
Between sunrise and sunset
Earth awaits our feet

Long day
Night slumbers holding our dream
Day unrolls the map

Journey calls
The distant hills beckon
And so …

Muse obviously wants me to take this even further.  There are some thoughts and ideas forming and I will have to see what comes of it and them.
