Of warm fires and Love 

With a special person 

Holding, holding...

The fires of winter
Being prepared
In the hearth

Sunrise
The Eastern sky
Pales
Dew carried back
Into the night

South

Fires of the day
Across the sands
Dried
Baked in the clay
Of yesterday

West

Ocean
Prepares to cradle the sun
Night calls him
To leave the sky
To the stars

North

The stones of the dark
Cold
Realm of stars
Diamonds in the sky
Night waits

Watching The Sun [Acrostic]

A slightly different acrostic, normally the title carries the root of the poem.  In this version the title is a descriptive framework and the acrostic is a set of three related words.

Reflecting the fires of dawn

In my skies and across my mind

Stars are a slowly fading memory

Endlessly scintillating dreams

Muse weaves the words

Into new worlds to be sung

Day bathes the new worlds

Dance in the magical ring

Around the pipers mystic songs

Yielding to the power of noon

Slow drift into the purple

Eventide filled with waiting dreams

Tonight sweetly calls

I feel that it makes an interesting variation on the usual format.

Horizon caught the fire
Our lips met and shared
The fires
Love caught light
Again
And the fires grew





Perhaps that should read Lust and Love song.
