Memory Dreams

This happens to me often.

From the long past 

Suddenly a face

Emerges

As if to haunt 

Or remind

Of a memory 

Things past 

Never again to be claimed 

The memory plays games

Even though it knows 

It can never happen 

But the memory 

Lives in the past 

So it dreams 

. 

Sometimes interesting images surface as well.

The sun shines

Brightly

Her face 

So much more 

She smiled 

No more cloud

Warm and bright, a beautiful smile.

By the jewels in your eyes 

I was entranced

Held

Shining bright glittering 

I was lost in you

The clouds are brighter

Sometimes even the clouds do not get much brighter.

Veil Of Lace

Another Moon poem, based loosely around the event of an eclipse and some light cloud.

Covering her face
Veil
Does not hide her beauty
Even shadows
Do not conquer her
She wears the lace
As a trophy
Of her wonder





It is strangely frustrating when eclipses are on the wrong side of Earth or worse, hidden by cloud.

Wind Blown Kisses

The sky scattered some kisses on me today.
This another of the "Five Thousand Miles" sequence.

Walking in the rain
With very few exceptions
Every face I see
Is sad
Rain in my face
Each drop feels like
A kiss
Blown to me
From you
Five thousand miles
Is only
As far as the nearest cloud

There is no such thing as a coincidence.

You gave me touches
Little movements of your fingers
Bring shivers where’re you linger
Silk on my skin

Sweet your kisses
Pleasure laden
Soft breath across my face
Honey on my lips





I find it totally fascinating how little things can trigger thoughts which lead somewhere wonderful.
