Moments

Feeling those Lovely moments.

Moments  -  09 Jul 18

Those Lovely moments
Which go on forever
Wrapped in the silk
Of dream

More than dream
They hold our thoughts
And wishes
To grow and flourish

Those moments are always there.

I Wrap You

This is the second of the three "Wrap" sequence of poems.

I Wrap You  -  21 May 14

In soft silk enfolded
Held with gentle kisses
In a tender embrace
I wrap you in me
Holding you close
In a world of our own
In a dream of our own
Our days and nights
Flow together
As I hold you
Wrapped in me

The final poem will appear on the morrow ~ all being well.

Silk and Honey

This little poem grew from a misheard line from a song ~ I felt that what I heard was more interesting than the actual line so...

Silk and Honey  -  22 Feb 13

You gave me touches
Little movements of your fingers
Bring shivers where’re you linger
Silk on my skin

Sweet your kisses
Pleasure laden
Soft breath across my face
Honey on my lips

I find it totally fascinating how little things can trigger thoughts which lead somewhere wonderful.

Gentle Hand

Another of the poems which started unexpectedly but required a little coaxing to bring it to some kind of completion. It is a little more 'free-form' than most of the poems here but...well, see what you think.

Gentle Hand - 22 May 10

And time rolled by
Waves across the sand
Stirring my imagination
With a gentle hand

Caressing me
Holding my thoughts
Wrapped in velvet
Cradled in silk
Perfumed
With your special scent
Your essence

Music playing in my mind
Draws an ancient memory
From a resting place
Into the light
Where an examination
Will show
The scars and smiles
In equal measure

You reach out and take it
Into your hand
Smile into it...breathe into it
Give a little kiss
Make it so the pain can fade
Shine the smiles
Then put it back with
Another kiss
To keep it company

Along the strandline
Two pairs of feet
Mark the tide
And trace
The memories
Where imagination has laid
A gentle hand

I sometimes wonder where Muse finds these ideas to feed to me - other times I realise that they are hiding just beneath the surface of my mind.
