Across the cliffs

Down to the sea

Dragon waits

For the enchantment

To rise again

When walking the paths the warmth of the Dragon breath can be felt.

I ~ Opening

Breathing
Slow ~ with the waves
Feeling the gentle surge
Lift me
Spin me gently
Turn me to face the sun


II ~ Seaweed Forest

Mermaids dance around the fronds
Tails flow in myriad colours
Catch the rippling sun
Their song of enchantment
Opens Hearts to the beauty
Capturing the moment


III ~ Poseidon’s Gate

Pearl treasure
Ancient doors reflect the beauty
Inviting entry
A welcome within the coral halls
Written in crystal words
Of the aquamarine harmonies


IV ~ Home

Warm ~ kiss of the sun
Wet ~ the ocean’s kiss says secret Love
Dry ~ the sand beneath my feet Earth’s kiss
Hidden ~ a mermaid’s kiss
Remembered ~ held in mind the gifts
My Lover’s kiss to welcome me home





There is just a hint of Love song here too.

Winter sun
Soft spark of warmth
Between the hazy clouds
Melodies of enchantment
Play soft into the evening

Spring rain
Sings a gentle song
Strokes the fresh leaves
To make them shine
Gold of the coming year

You Cast Your Spell

The structure of this poem grew in a strange way, I had written the first stanza and was wondering how it would progress when suddenly it came to me.  The closing stanzas were written next and then the second and third ~ I feel that it works.

Muse has a rather pleasant habit of dropping hints at odd moments.

Night...Filled

Another poem, the seeds were sown just after midnight and it flowered about an hour later, the title emerged just as I was typing it up before posting it here.

Sunshine hiding all day long
Behind a veil of cloud
Darkness gathers round my house
To hold the light within

In my rooms
She waited
Singing softly
Songs of enchantment
Songs of love
Words to bind us
Gently
For Eternity

I watched the darkness
Filled with her song
Moths danced
To her words

I felt her call
Deep within me
Irresistible
I would not resist…
Her song
Echoed mine

I turned
Went to her
