Waiting For The Moon

Observation of a day closing.

Waiting For The Moon  -  04 Aug 17

The sun considered setting
Into a murky cloud
The western sky
A brownish haze
To the east
Silver shone
On the lip of the horizon
Selene was coming

The silver light is beautiful.

Moon Sings For Us

Sweet songs from the Moon.

Moon Sings For Us  -  01 May 17

Sweet serenade
With glittering counterpoint
Subtle melody
Created for us
By the Moon
Sing sweet Selene
Grant us your enchantment

Listen and feel the magic.

Night Wind

Just a small poem today inspired by an observation in the night.

Night Wind  -  31 Mar 15

Wind
Torn cloud
Tousles Selene’s hair
As she dances across
The night
To hide from
The dawn

Moon dancing, such a Lovely sight.

Watching

At five in the morning as I was preparing for bed I noticed a glow in the Eastern sky, I looked out of the bathroom window and was rewarded with the sight of a crescent Moon a few days before New Moon.  Muse kept pushing that image and a few words at me for over a day till eventually it all came together this afternoon.

Watching  -  18 Mar 12

Five AM
Still cold ~ dark sky
Selene watches her Lover
As he sleeps
Fights the urge to
Touch him
Wake him
Kiss him

Craves his touch
Wants his warmth

She does not know
Secretly ~
He watches her
Never sleeping
Her warm smile
Always
Touches his Heart
Embraces his Soul

I will always thank Muse for my inspiration.

The Lady Selene

Discovered that today isn't a creating day - even though I really wanted it to be - but a reflective day, one in which memories are stirred and brought to the surface again.

I present this short poem for your reading pleasure.

The Lady Selene - 07 Sep 06

In the early hours
The Lady Selene
Prepares for bed
Her face veiled
Against those who do not understand
The sky dark
Yet holding promise
Of the day ahead

Quite a short offering today...I shall try to do better - when my brain wakes up.
