I Dreamed You

.
A deeper connection between two people.

I Dreamed You       -       03 May 22

I dreamed you
Last night
In the stars
Again you took me
You gave me you
We danced together
In the Moonlight

More than just a dream.

A Touch Of Silver [Haiku]

.
An image to consider.

A Touch Of Silver [Haiku]      -    03 Dec 20

Moonlight outlines a
Secret shape in the darkness
A touch of silver

The Moon can show many things.

Silver Gloves

.
A mild fantasy caused by the gentle touch.

.
Silver Gloves   -   06 Sep 18

Stardust covers everything
Stuff of stars
Forms the silver gloves
Which touch
Everything
Forms us all
In moonlight dreams

.
Dreaming of moonlight.

Nights

The poem for today is a companion piece to the offering from yesterday entitled "Days".

Nights  -  05 Jun 17

Moonlight silvers
Mirrors of the day
With different colours
Dark contrasts with light
Opening the door to the
Mysteries of the nights

They can be read together or separately.

Darkness Borne

An owl song today.

Darkness Borne  -  23 Apr 16

In darkness
The moments of moonlight
Carried by owl song
Borne into the night
On silent wings
To await the dawn

Observation by ear.

Moonlight Walk

Playing in the Moonlight as we walk together.

Moonlight Walk  -  16 Jun 15

Imagination claims reality
Takes it for a walk
Along Moonlit beaches
With us
Waves glisten and the surf
Breaks with a soft murmur
Our thoughts entwined
Fingers linked
As the Moonlight takes us
Further along our path
To where our imaginations
Play a special game

Playing is always a good idea.

Moonlight Murmuring

A little murmured Love song.

Moonlight Murmuring  -  24 Apr 15

I hear your name
Called softly
In the moments
When the sea murmurs
In the Moonlight

A solitary violin
Softly sings a Love song
About our moments
As the Moon murmurs
Over the sea

Your name comes back
To me as I listen
You stand beside me
In the Moonlight
Sharing all our moments

I did wonder if the last line should be "Sharing all our murmurs" but somehow it did not quite fit into the pattern properly.

Dark Wind

A poem taking me into night so that I can meet . .

Another of the "Five Thousand Miles" sequence of Love songs.

Dark Wind  -  23 Dec 14

As the dark wind
Blows through ebon branches
Sweeping stars from
The moonlight path
As the dark night
Paints shadows across the sky
Between the cloud
And moonbow
The wind whispers
A lullaby to carry me
Into sleep
So I can travel
The five thousand miles
To be with my Love

I enjoy the meetings.

Moonlight Songs

A Love song ~ need I say more?

Moonlight Songs  -  03 Nov 14

Darkness brought us together
Wrapped us in the cloth of starlight
Sang songs in the moonlight
You suggested we kiss
Brought light into darkness
Moon whispers
Starlight sings
Darkness no more

Lovely when they flow ~ whatever the light.

Queen's Moon

A gentle Love song.

Queen's Moon  -  12 Aug 14

Delicately touching
The hands of the Lady
Smoothes my wrinkled brow
Her subtle beauty
Wrapped in Moonlight
Edged in silver
Lights the night
Lights the day
Lights my life

I was going to refer to this poem as a delicate Love song.

Moon Love

This poem ~ another Love song ~ asked to be written during the day and was only finished slightly after midnight.

Moon Love  -  28 Jan 14

Moon
Tastes the Love
Smiles
Adds her own
We
Walking in her light
Holding
Each other close
Kissing
In the moonlight
Forever

There is a second poem embedded within the whole of this poem.  If you read just the single word lines in order and mentally add one punctuation character ~ a comma ~ in the right place the second Love song appears.

Eclipse Visitation

Written to honour the lunar eclipse, even though I did not actually get to see it.
This poem is also a Love song and should be read as such in that light too.

Eclipse Visitation  -  19 Oct 13

In the wilderness
Beneath the Moon’s gaze
I wait
Blood shadow
Drifts across her face
Eclipse

In the darkness
My Lady comes to me
Takes me in her arms
Lays soft kisses on me
Whispers
~ Our Love is Eternal ~

Moonlight returns
I still hear My Lady’s voice
Whispers echo loud
Across the wilderness
~ We will always be together
Remember ~

These events are really powerful, as are the consequences.

Misplaced Memories

This poem was inspired by memories of events which now feel that they belong to another lifetime.   I do not feel that they are a part of me but they are still my memories and I think they belong in my pocket.

Misplaced Memories  -  04 Sep 13

We travelled together
Along forgotten paths
Scattering memories
To the winds

I remember when we
Kissed
At the Ocean’s edge
… I think

We walked on meadows
In the moonlight
In our dream
Surrounded

Memories come back
From hidden corners
Where I had forgotten
To collect them again

Trying to recall
Where I left them
So I can put them back
In my pocket

So many memories and most of them now irrelevant to me.  I have a new life and am creating new memories daily.

Under Frosted Moon [Acrostic]

Need I say that this poem grew in the very early hours of the day, a couple of hours after midnight?  Probably not, but ...

Under Frosted Moon [Acrostic]  -  29 Mar 13

Unknown worlds
Never visited except in
Dream
Eternity never seemed so
Real and close

Forged in dream
Recalled as we woke
Our Loves brought
Substance to our lives
Together we dreamed
Enchanted places for us to
Dance

Moonlight glitters
On our secret doors
Opening to our secret
Night

Triggered by a line I wrote in the outro of the last offering.

Soul Summoning Spell

As so often happens, Muse tapped me on the shoulder some time after midnight and offered some suggestions for a new piece. I didn't know where it would lead but am rather pleased with the result.

Soul Summoning Spell - 12 Sep 11

Still she sang
Her old song
In the dusky darkness
Where Moonlight never reached

Lamenting loves lost
In years gone by
While watching new flames
Growing in her heart

Watching waves wash
Across the sand
While the distant lantern
Lights from ships sail beyond the bay

Tasting tomorrow’s tea
Her heady brew enticing
Drawing him closer
Into her grasp

Evening’s ebon eternity
Holds her … waiting
As her lover, spell-bound
Approaches through the night

Spell-bound he might be but willingly he is drawn to her side.
Yes, I am aware of the inspiration that Led Zeppelin left in a gentle way.
Muse is never to be denied, her suggestions always worth listening to for the words she offers.

This is my offering to:
