Blue Before Night

Fantasy and reality blend in this poem with a little touch of Love song to add a bit more flavour.

Blue Before Night  -  01 Mar 15

Failing daylight
Sun below the horizon
Clouds thrown into
Silhouette
Against a cerulean sky
Welcoming the night

Colours fade from the sky
Clouds majestic sail
Eastward
Leaving a dusty red
In their wake
Dreams ahead

A new shore calls
Lights in the harbour
Glinting on the waves
Welcoming
Dreams await in the night
Like Lovers

The Moon
Lantern
Shining through a hint
Of rain
Lights the way
To you

I feel that I have sailed on this ship to you.

Map Of Myth

This "Map" poem grew in the afternoon and seemed to be a response to thoughts I had been having about some meditation experiences from a few years ago.

Map Of Myth  -  30 Apr 13

Forms around us
Keeping pace
Encouraging
Guarding
Protecting our dream
As we move through the day

Unicorns walk beside
In the forest glade
Their smiling shining thoughts
Light the day
More than the sun
Warm

Overhead
Wrapped in cerulean
Dragons of many colours
Circle
Play
A spiral dance

The Map holds many truths
Here be Dragons ~ yes often said
Here be Unicorns ~ never be mentioned
Yet here they walk
With many other beings
… And we

Maybe there will be more of these to come ~ I can think of one that could be used.
Thank you Muse for the suggestions.

Colours of Evening

Looking out of my "office" window toward the West, my gaze was drawn to the sky and this poem grew quite quickly.

Colours of Evening  -  05 Apr 13

Pale salmon
Floats across cerulean
Crows return by twos
To roost
Old gold sunset
Has a smoky hue

Tasting the colours
Fleeting images
Fast changing flavours
As evening
Paints the world
With a soft brush

Muse has some interesting ways to lead me to be inspired.

Cerulean

Another poem triggered by a single word from Muse.  The word this time was the title "Cerulean" and it is probably my absolute favourite hue of blue.

Cerulean  -  17 Feb 13

Wind
Tossing clouds around
Revealing
Remembered hues
Scattered
Across sky ~ through memories
Dust
Blown away ~ hooded eyes
Protect
Isolate images ~ shapes
Cerulean
Robes echo visions of sky
She
Showed me who she was
Here
Daylight dreaming of her
Love

It was good to be reminded of that particular hue.
