Map Of Myth

This "Map" poem grew in the afternoon and seemed to be a response to thoughts I had been having about some meditation experiences from a few years ago.

Forms around us
Keeping pace
Encouraging
Guarding
Protecting our dream
As we move through the day

Unicorns walk beside
In the forest glade
Their smiling shining thoughts
Light the day
More than the sun
Warm

Overhead
Wrapped in cerulean
Dragons of many colours
Circle
Play
A spiral dance

The Map holds many truths
Here be Dragons ~ yes often said
Here be Unicorns ~ never be mentioned
Yet here they walk
With many other beings
… And we





Maybe there will be more of these to come ~ I can think of one that could be used.

Between Worlds

During my night, I slept deeply but woke feeling that I had only just gone to bed. I was certain that I experienced something but didn't know exactly what it was.

This poem describes the feelings that came through as I moved through my early day and allowed the memories to surface.

The mysterious times
The interval between breaths
Fragments of time
When eyes are shut
In a blink

The times when
You are aware
Of the overlapping spaces
Where the mystical
And the normal
Touch

Dragons slumber, dream
Of times when mortals
Never feared them
Knowing that time
Will come again

Unicorns
Empowering
Touch your heart
With love

You remember
You have played there
Now see
With open eyes

They await...
