These really are "Songs" there are four here for your reading pleasure.
The first stanza is a Senryū, the second is a Gogyohka, the third is an Acrostic and the last is a “modern Haikū”

As we take the melody

Raven Cloak

Watching dark clouds flapping like wings triggered my thoughts here and so the Raven was born to dance.

Swirling cloak
Fanning the summer sky
Encouraging spark of the sun
To try to pierce the cloak
Raven knows the game
Flicks the cloak higher
Pretending night
Black feathers
Iridescent shine
Stars on the cloak





The cloak has a magical effect on everything.

I find this form curiously satisfying.

Verge Of Tears

I do not often write sad songs and poems but when I do they are always Heart-felt.  Publishing this slightly out of sequence, it should appear a couple of days from now, but I felt that it was important for me to show this now.

Sitting in silence
Wrapped in the gathering gloom
Of after sunset
Feeling my Soul

Then the tears fell
Salty rain upon my cheeks

Thunder of an headache
Sad dance

A candle in the dark

The mask is finally cast aside

The silent candle tells you
All my faults

In that flame I see you
Watching me
A secret smile on your lips
We see each other
We know

And through the night we wait
For the moment
When the sun calls the day back
For us to start a song
To fill the silence
