Fragrant

.
Her beautiful perfume intoxicates me.

Fragrant       -       23 Jan 21

Hint of blossom
Captivates my senses
Hint of you
Takes me to paradise
The world is more fragrant
Enticing
It draws me in
Keeps me

Natural scent.

Brides Tales

I was trying to get to sleep when words kept wandering through my mind, Muse insisted that I made a note of them or they would be forgotten.
I feel that I should make the inspiration points here; "Dawn bride's veil" comes from the first line of "Islands", one of the records by King Crimson.  The hint from John Keats - "Ode to Autumn" is in the first line of his poem and a subtle reminder of "Fires At Midnight" the song from Jethro Tull completes the list of what I can see here.
On with my poem ...

Brides Tales  -  02 Nov 13

Dawn bride
Her veil captures the wind
Bends it to her will
Her perfume fills the sky
Holds me

Bride in the afternoon
The mellow fruits
Of autumn
Share her sweet smile
Intoxicating

Evening bride
Fires glow in the hearth
Giving cheerful light
Not as warm
As her Love

Bride of night
Rich crimson blossoms
Of the midnight feast
Roses before dawn
We share

It is really good when Muse nags me to get things written so they remain to be posted here.

Dreams On The Plain

A new offering in the "Dream" sequence which grew unexpectedly in the afternoon yesterday.

Dreams On The Plain  -  07 May 13

Fertile plains
On which seeds of dream
Are sown
Watered by the imagination
And warmed by the flame
Of Love

Full flowered dream
Gathered by those
Who care and wish to share …
We take a single blossom to
Breathe the fragrant
Night thoughts

We grasp the stem
Kiss the petals together and
Our lips meet
The fire of our Love
Spreads from the dream of night
Into the dreams of day

I felt that there were more to come in this series ~ didn't realise that something would come as soon as this ~ thank you Muse.

Morrow's Map

This poem grew in the afternoon when Muse suggested a slightly new direction and has implied that there is even more to come.

Morrow's Map  -  29 Apr 13

New day blossoms
Threads of sunlight
Wrap my thoughts and take them
Into worlds anew
The legend undrawn …
Dragons ahead?
Or something more wonderful?

Breathe in the essence
Of the blossom
Walk into the day
Look around
Watch for the footprints
That can lead to
New wonders

Watch the way
The map
Unrolls ...

I quite like the way this "Map" series is progressing and I getting a glimpse of new vistas.
