She Lives Within

A little Love song which formed quite quickly but needed an overnight simmer to allow it to come together properly into the form you see here.

She Lives Within  -  10 Dec 13

Breath ~ a warm summer breeze
Sweet with a fragrance
Flowers
Eyes ~ fire smouldering
From a Heart filled with Love
Watching
Touch ~ cool winter fingertips
Wander down my spine
Teasing
Living ~ in my Heart her spirit
Takes me beyond what I have known
Living
She is in me around me with me

I think this works ♥

Hard Rain

A poem with a rather different feel though it still fits into the "limite surréaliste" framework.

Hard Rain  -  09 Dec 13

Hard rain shatters the night
Wakes the sleeping dreams
Drags the mind into a new form
Opens the way into the formless dark

Sleeping through it the rain drops into
The dream from an empty night
Giving shape to unnamed dream
Waiting in the shadows

Wondering when I shall eventually drop the "limite" from "limite surréaliste" and how things will change because of it.

Reflections

I was trying to get some ideas together for this offering when I saw a photograph on Twitter and immediately it all came together so today the poem is ...

Reflections  -  08 Dec 13

Autumn mists
Gentle wrap
Soft blanket
Lake still
No ripples
Mirror calm
Hold trees
Captive beauty
Beauty captivating

The photograph I saw can be viewed at:

It can also be viewed on my We♥It and my Pinterest pages under the heading, or tags, of "Places"

My apologies for the positioning of the link ~ Blogger would not allow me to reposition it.

Walk With Me

A chance sighting of the title line allowed the poem to be birthed quite rapidly.

Walk With Me  -  07 Dec 13

Walk with me
Along the lanes
Past the trees
To the edge
Of the world

Our reality
Growing now
A crystal form
Inviting us on
Walk with me

A request for company on the great exploration of the future.

Opening

Another Love song, similar in some respects  to one I wrote recently but I feel sufficiently different to allow for posting it now.

Opening  -  06 Dec 13

Opening my Heart
Was so easy for you
You just had to smile
As you looked
Deep within me
Smile as you touched
That tender place
Which was always
Yours to touch
Smile as you laid
Our Hearts together

I just enjoy writing Love songs.

Looking-Glass Eyes

This poem was birthed just a few minutes after I built the post for yesterday's offering.  It was not completed then and needed to cook gently overnight, a few lines were added while I was in bed trying to sleep and the remainder emerged a few hours after I woke into the day.

It is a folk-song / Love-song which has quite a few roots in my past history of reading and listening to music.

Looking-Glass Eyes  -  04 Dec 13

We sat together
Drank some wine
You smiled
And I looked into
Your looking-glass eyes

I saw myself
And saw you watching me
As we sat and dreamed
Of our life together
Reflected in your looking-glass eyes

You showed me our new world
Vast horizons open up
And I can see where we are going
Where our Love lies …
In your looking-glass eyes

Seeing myself reflected in those Looking-Glass Eyes and liking what I see.

Anyone not aware of the meaning ... Looking-glass is an archaic phrase for mirror.

Tantalus [Acrostic]

This acrostic poem was designed in two parts ~ each illustrating the concept of the Tantalus but forming a complete whole.

Tantalus [Acrostic]  -  04 Dec 13

Touching you breathing deep
Aroma sweet intoxicating
Nothing brings me closer
To you
Arms outstretched reaching
Longing but I cannot hold you
Untold miles
Separate us

Interesting, I feel, how one word can be split into two parts ~ contradicting yet whole.

Butterfly Within

This is another of the poems which were inspired by a chance sighting of a tweet in the Twitter stream.  The end result has no relevance to what was read.

Butterfly Within  -  02 Dec 13

Momentary tremble
Wings stir the air
Cascading thoughts
Tumble from the sky
Into our now

Butterfly claps wings
Stirs reality
Opens thoughts
To otherness
Dwelling within

Random thoughts sometimes fire extremely random results.

With Dream Enfolded

Many years ago I wrote an acrostic poem entitled "Silent Night With Dream Enfolded".  Recently that title, or rather the second part thereof, has been returning to my mind and asking for something else to be done with it ~ so now ...

With Dream Enfolded  -  02 Dec 13

Wrapped …
Moments in the night
Where time stands still
Wrapped …
Evening ended
Morning not yet arrived
Wrapped …
In dream’s soft folds
Secret words whisper
In dream …
Phantoms and fantasy
Play special games

Sleep …
Through the night
With dream enfolded

One day I may add the original acrostic poem to these pages.

Silence [Acrostic]

This acrostic poem was inspired by seeing a quote from Gunilla Norris

"Within each of us, there is a silence.
A silence as vast as the Universe.
And when we experience that silence,
we discover who we are."

This is my little take on that silence.

Silence [Acrostic]  -  01 Dec 13

Simple secret movements
Infused with a magical memory
Lifted from the depths
Eternity holds the image of itself
Now reflected in the mirror of time
Connected within and without
Endlessly moving

I hope I have done justice to the original thought
