Sweet Breath

.
The Lovely taste of the evening.

.
Sweet Breath    -    03 Dec 19

Last wind
An ancient gasp
Caught in the twilight
Endless days
Wrapped in the breath
Of the evening
I remember
Sweet winds which carried
Wishes and dreams
From the dawn
Through the forever day
Till the evening arrived
And the final breath of now
Was claimed

.
A long time between dawn and evening.

Dreaming Evening

.
I have experienced many days like this.

.
Dreaming Evening   -   22 Oct 18

Slow drifts through the day
Gather thoughts in the twilight
My mind rests in the gentle day
As friendly shadows gather me up
To take me into night
From the dreaming evening

.
All very restful and pleasant.

Twilight

Wandering through the evening ~ exploring.

Twilight  -  16 Aug 15

Warm twilight
Evening slips away
Calling me

Explore

Stars in the east
Glimmer into life
New worlds call

Explore

Twilight hides
My footsteps
Silence holds them

Before anybody asks, this poem has absolutely nothing to do with a book and movie series of similar name.

Haikū 68

Returning to the hand-written Haikū archives for a few offerings.

Mystery  -  06 Jul 10

Dark hour Mystery
Sweet Lover touches my Heart
before day returns

Verdant  -  07 Jul 10

In a field ~ verdant
we lay ~ watched the clouds above
Sky dancing for us

Dog Haikū [from a dog's point of view]  -  07 Jul 10

sniff, sniff, sniff, pant, pant,
[ my master ! ] run, lick, lick, lick,
bark, bark, bark, walk, sniff

Breeze + Thought + Memories

Twilight memories
of all the beautiful days
carried on the breeze

Blizzard  -  08 Jul 10

Cherry blossom ends
Petals fall like driven snow
Blizzard in summer

More  poems to come soon...

Wind

This poem grew yesterday as I looked out of my window and watched how the day was changing, rather unexpectedly.

Wind  -  27 Oct 12

In a wind
Carrying darkness
From the north

Ice shards
Slice the day
Allowing

Shred the clouds
Twilight peers through
Muddy sky

Taste of snow
In the air
Wind messengers

Watching for the first
Ice dancers
On the cold winds

Interesting how my Muse inspires me sometimes.
