I stand before you

Watching

Protecting your thoughts

Always with you

Protecting you

In my cloak of darkness

My sword of stars in hand

Ready to be your guardian

Your protector

Your Knight of Night

Interesting how many thoughts come from seemingly random words or phrases.

I think this can be categorised as a Warrior's Tribute.

Takes up his sword
Returns it to the scabbard
Though no one is listening
He says I salute you
With a nod of acceptance
And I watch
As he goes on his way
