Snowflake

A song of longing.

Snowflake  -  11 Feb 17

On a cold day
I hear it
A snowflake singing
In the distance
A simple song
Of wordless longing
Taken from the cloud
To fly over the land
Looking for a place
Somewhere to be

Drifting and seeking.

Kiss In Waiting

This poem grew "just because" it felt right and, reading it again, it still feels right.

Kiss In Waiting  -  09 Oct 13

Waiting
A promised kiss
Upon meeting
Longing for that moment
Longing
In secret and
In all the moments
Around
The promised kiss
Already enflames my lips

Kissing is fun.

Gogyohka 8

Another selection from the hand-written Gogyohka archives.

Word  -  19 Aug 10

A whispered word
coaxes memories
out of the shuttered room
blinking
into the daylight

I Wait  -  20 Aug 10

And in the early hours
I wait
with a futile sense
of longing
for your return

Seeing You  -  20 Aug 10

Seeing you
in the eye of my mind
Holding you
in the palm of my Soul
Loving you

Day's End  -  21 Aug 10

Close of day
Fingertips of sunlight
caress my face
ruffle my hair
with a gentle breeze

Raindrops  -  21 Aug 10

Standing in cloud
feet firmly on the ground
eyes lost
in the space between raindrops
and puddles

More poems of all varieties of flavours to come.

Unexpected Touch

This was an unexpected result of posting the #mindfulwriting post on Dolphin Ainsley [a WordPress blog] today.  The original text of the post is highlighted in italic in the version here and both make, I feel, for interesting reading.
See what you think and comment if you will.

Unexpected Touch  -  13 Jan 13

An unexpected touch
In the cool of morning
When you came to me
Exploring

Mental fingers
Played across my body
Taking thoughts … lifting
Sharing

Stroking memories
Warming them again
Till they glowed in my mind
Warming

Reawakening our connection
Shared moments together
Moments of laughter and of Love
Shining

… Waiting to see you …
… Wanting to see you …
… Longing to see you …
… Again …

I really feel that both versions work and definitely thank Muse for her inspiration.
