Exploring

An invitation to explore.

Exploring  -  01 Feb 17

Touching an open flower
Smelling sweet rain
Fingertips gently run
Through silken hair
Exploring with all senses
Inviting a response
Touch me and share

Waiting for your touch.

Sea Priestess

Inspired by a photograph I saw many years ago.

Sea Priestess  -  26 Dec 16

Constantly waving
Kelp in the tidal surge
Her hair moved
Danced

She watched
Gentle smile
Graced her lips
Filled her eyes

Her voice
Liquid silver reflects
Moon across the sea
Voice dances through my mind

The priestess of the sea
Shows me the way
Guides my moves
We swim

The woman was not actually in the sea but was very strongly connected with water.

Wind Hair

A tiny observation.

Wind Hair  -  10 Mar 16

Every which way
Grabbing
Through unpredictable
Directions

I said it was tiny.

Smokey Days

A Love song built from memories...

Smokey Days  -  21 Feb 16

Smokey days
Hours lost in reverie
Combing my Lover's hair
Revelling in the softness
Gentle natural perfume
The way she smiles
Up at me
Autumn smoke
Takes me back to her

...and sometimes they are future memories.

Sea Greeting

A weather-inspired poem for the offering today.

Sea Greeting  -  09 Jan 15

Sea cries
In the distance
Torn by wind
Covered by a blanket
Of cloud

Sea comes to greet me
Carried by the wind
Light spray
Kisses my cheeks
Her hand caresses my hair

Somewhat moist out there.

Breeze

Personal experience ~ standing at the window without
a tee-shirt and ...

Breeze  -  13 Sep 14

Breeze
Runs fingers
Through my hair
Across my skin
Goosebumps chasing
Triggers thoughts
Memories of a future
Wishing it was you

Lovely thoughts passing through my mind and some of them lingered.

Private Messages

Another Love song, this time with a hint of Secret Passion.

Private Messages  -  02 Apr 14

Silken hair
Waves on the beach
Of me
Secret touch
Lips leave a private
Message
Read only by me
Kisses in a secret
Place only known
To us

I Love being taken into new areas of exploration.

Knowing

Interesting how an "almost memory" can trigger the formation of a poem.  Thinking back into the set of "might have been" happenings can bring out something that may happen.

Knowing  -  23 Jan 14

Afternoon
Warm summer sun
Kisses your body
Gentle breeze
Barely stirs your hair
Tender caress
You look into my eyes
And we know
No words need be said

Or perhaps has happened somewhen else.

Her Touch

Another poem grew in the very early hours of the day, this one is part of the sensuous Love songs series and I present it for your reading pleasure.

Her Touch  -  18 Oct 12

Her lips carried kisses
Which lingered on my skin
The fragrance of her hair
As it danced on my face
Mesmerising
Demanding my senses obey
Tasting her

Her hands carried hints
Of pleasures to come
The warmth of her breath
Gently blows ~ gently blown
Ripples across me
Like a warm sea
Testing me

Her eyes showed me Love
Unexpected ~ hoped for
Her words invited me
To share in a mystery
We wove one together
Built it carefully
Teasing we

Muse seems to offer most of my fun and interesting [to me at least] poems during the night,
I rather enjoy them.

She Tasted Me

I had fully intended to write a different poem, even had a provisional title and theme in mind but Muse had another idea for me and this is what grew from her suggestions.

She Tasted Me - 27 Sep 11

She tested me
She tasted me
Lips
Tarrying
On bare skin

Fingertips
Dancing
Caressing
Playing hide and seek
Through my hair

Warm breath
Unexpectedly blows
Teasing
Goosebumps
From secret places

She knew how
She knew where
Whispered
Secrets
She woke me

Perhaps the poem I had intended to write will be allowed out in the near future.

This is my entry for,

In Your Mind

Another poem which grew from a partially heard line from a song; a fragment, once heard blanked out everything else till I started to write. Unusually for me, the title is actually part of the whole poem and not just an echo to name it by...

In Your Mind - 19 Jun 10

You took me in your arms
Held me close
Ran your lips
Down my neck
Laid them on my lips

Your hands stroked
My hair
My cheeks
You ran your fingers
Down my spine

In my mind
I let you

In my mind...not as special as some of the poems here but when Muse says that it should be posted then, post I do.
