Night Mist

Another poem inspired by observation, both visual and tactile, in the night.

Night Mist  -  24 May 15

Feeling the gentle caress
Of the night mists
On my face as I drift
Into sleep
Open window
Allows the mist
To wander through my
Room
Thoughts
Me
Cloaking me in the peace
Of night
Sleep caresses
Till dawn

I Love the feelings I get in the night.

Knowing

Interesting how an "almost memory" can trigger the formation of a poem.  Thinking back into the set of "might have been" happenings can bring out something that may happen.

Knowing  -  23 Jan 14

Afternoon
Warm summer sun
Kisses your body
Gentle breeze
Barely stirs your hair
Tender caress
You look into my eyes
And we know
No words need be said

Or perhaps has happened somewhen else.

Ocean Dreams

A return to the Ocean theme that was part of my writing for a while.

Ocean Dream  -  14 Oct 13

Footprints in wet sand
Ocean claims them back
As they fade
Dreams
In sunlight

Warm Ocean waves
Wrap
Caress
Words written in the sand
Whisper now

Dreams in far-off lands
Where the footprints
Come to rest
With the Ocean
Cradling

Good to have her back again.

Completing

A few more little naughty thoughts.

Completing  -  18 Aug 13

Soft gentle touches
Shift my thoughts
Return them to her
Completing me with her

Gentle touches
Of her thoughts
Caress my mind
Wake me to her

Soft lips lay a trail
Of kisses
In sometimes
Unexpected places

Sensuous sigh
Warm breeze from her Heart
Blowing softly
On my skin

I rather like naughty thoughts *naughty grin*.

What Is ...

When this poem was first started the flow seemed to be one way, by the time i got about half way through it started to feel different.  I just let it go and didn't make any changes, this is the final version, untouched and untinkered and I hope it works.

What Is ...  -  20 Jun 13

Let whispers
Caress your ears
Gentle kisses
Brush your lips
Love lift the veil
From your eyes

Listen to the songs
Which charm the hours
Into days
Watch the sunsets
Close around us
And light the stars

What if … we ask
Can we really
Have it all
What is … keeps us
In its Heart and we
Have it all

Sometimes it is best to let Muse decide the way things flow and the structure of each poem.
