Third Reality

The "Reality" sequence is developing and growing, I'm getting feelings that another one is in gestation and should be arriving fairly soon.  In the meantime I present the third poem.

Third Reality  -  23 Jun 12

Fierce rain
Biting through clothes
Sky bruised
Beaten with a whip of ice

A kiss from a Phœnix
Warm feathers caress
My face

Maidens dance
In formal moves
Scarves draped
From silky wrists

Sun hides his face
Embarrassed
Watching the dance

Knows he cannot join
Simply watches
Wishing
Desire grows

I
Touch
You

These poems are showing more than a hint of Surrealism and this really pleases me ~ thank you Muse.

Soul Flight

This poem took a little longer to emerge - it feels more like free-association but seems to flow more easily.

Soul Flight - 21 Dec 10

You whispered
Into my Soul
Touched deep within
Held my Heart close
Burned my desires
On the Altar
Birthed my Phœnix
Let it fly

On wings of fire
We flew
From the dawn
Into the light of
A new day
Fingers coax desire
Dew from a rose
Crimson velvet
Scattered on the ground

We drank the last
Of the midnight wine
Sipped from the cup
Shared between us
Before we turned again
To kiss
And kiss again
Our Soul

Muse smiled as this poem grew - I think she knows more than she lets on.

Phœnix Waking

After a longer gap than I wanted a new poem has been birthed, it was inspired by an Haiku I wrote...

Phœnix flies again
problems removed, singed in the
Fires of Rebirth

...and this poem asked to be born.

Phœnix Waking - 04 Apr 10

The fires of Autumn
Long burned to ash
Waiting
The pyres of Autumn
Hold a magic
Waiting

The morning mists
Of Spring
Shroud the trees
Veil the sun
Protect the mystery
The secret movement
Of a symphony
In waiting

The opening chord
Is played
Phœnix awakes
Carrying the flame
Of a new Spring
Phœnix takes flight
Spreading the magic
Across the land

Phœnix may be a recurring theme, I feel.
