When I See

Another observation and Love song.

When I See  -  08 Jan 18

Sunsets paint the western sky
Bronze in overwhelming beauty
Time opens a portal
To allow vision
When I see the dream
I know where I need to be
You shall be there with me

Keeping minds and eyes open.

Come Speak To Me

Image - Moonset by Ainsley Allmark

Come speak to me
Tell me of your loves for me
Parted from me
On your voyages to distant worlds
Your Earth-bound Lover
Waits for your return
To hear the tales
Of alien worlds and moonsets
Under different suns

Muse drew the words from me a line at a time, then requested it be illustrated using a different form to anything I had previously used - here then, is my offering.

Let Me...

From just a few words spoken to me, this poem simmered in my mind through the night and I woke with it nearly complete...a few moments more and a cascade of words later it was birthed.

Let Me... - 16 May 10

Let me be your sun
I will kiss your hair
Stroke your shoulders
Warm you with my love

Let me be your rain
To cool you in
The summer heat
And wash the dust
From your feet

Let me be your breeze
To caress your cheeks
Stroke your neck
Ruffle your hair
Run with you
When you play

Let me be the sand
Beneath your feet
As you walk beside the sea
And dream
Of sunsets
And other worlds

"Let me..." an offer that cannot be refused perhaps.

Memories

Another of the older poems, I was reading through some with the intention of posting something and was struck by the images and memories that this poem triggered in me - I hope that the same can be said by you when you read it.

Memories - 08 May 97

I remember
Soft warm breezes
Slow sunsets
Into the sea

Memories of those
Loving days
Watching the waves
Washing silver across the sands

I remember
Special mornings
Gentle golden light
Washing through the windows

Pulling me from sleep
Taking me from my bed
Inviting me to walk
Through the gardens of a dream

I remember
Places I have never been
Imagination takes my waking mind
To other worlds, other lands

In my dreams
I have touched these places
And drunk the waters
Eaten the bread. Lived there.

I remember
Walking
Walking the wild places
Dreaming of a time

When through a window
Across the sea
I watched slow sunsets
Into the sea

I feel that this is one of my more evocative poems.
