Dancing In My Heart

.
Feeling the presence of a very special person.

.
Dancing In My Heart    -   11 May 19

Lightning breaks the darkness
Of a lonely night
Cold dreams surround me
In the lightless realm
I feel you with the
Dancing in my Heart
I know I am never alone

.
She is always with me.

Twisted

.
This poem came into my mind suddenly and unexpectedly in the late evening.  Slightly disturbing but with some interesting images.

.
Twisted   -   25 Oct 18

A twisted sky
Wracked with thunder
Scratched with lightning
Shaped by the wind
Into phantom forms
Which touch
Troubled dreams

.
What do you think?

Imagining [Acrostic]

This poem is structured as an acrostic but, in feel, it is intentionally rather disjointed rather in the manner of a half-remembered dream.

Imagining [Acrostic]  -  28 Nov 14

In an open thought
Mountainous clouds tower
Air torn by lightning
Gems of ice scatter before the dawn
Inside a secret dream
Never told in waking moments
Imaging the imagination
Night smiles hold the secrets
Gifts in the dark

Watching the secrets unfold.

Momentary Day

A chance viewing of a poem written by a young lady, named Ashley, a couple of years ago, caused Muse to bring a couple of words to my attention and the first stanza was born.  It took another hour for the second and another two hours for the final stanza to emerge.

Momentary Day  -  18 Apr 13

Lightning lightening
Splashes …
Fires onto night
Making it day
For an instant

Your Love
Splashes
Joy into my night
Making it day
Forever

In that moment
Splashes
Of light from Infinity
Turns a momentary spark
Into Eternity

Thank you Muse and thank you Ashley for those couple of words of inspiration.
