Dark Day

Too often recently.

Faded flowers 

Lost their brilliance 

On a dark day 

When the light 

Went out 

Leaving us in darkness 

Again 

. 

The list of months does not relate to "reality", whatever that is.

In My Mind

Sometimes wondering what has happened to the people I once knew.

Talking to people

From my past 

Sometimes

They emerge

From those days 

I asked 

Do you ever 

Think of me 

And wonder

Where I am now 

Or have I just 

Faded into the mists 

. 

One of the questions which can never be answered.

This poem was born out of a wandering mind, for whatever reason I started thinking about my old school.

So many years ago
Good friends
At the time
Faded now
Remembered
Only as they were
Forgotten names
As mine are to them





Most, if not all, of those I knew have forgotten me.
