Getting a desired result is often difficult.

I have asked

In many different ways 

I have even pleaded

Now the time has come 

For me to use the one

Final thing I have 

In my possession

Given to me by 

A travelling wise woman

As she told me 

Only to be used

As a final resort 

The Wish Stone

Feeling an absence more strongly on the 07 December and this was a kind of prayer.

I think we all feel this way sometimes.

Question

Muse teased me slightly with a repeated phrase and asked that I fill in something to make the poem grow...this is what resulted in the early hours of today.

You asked me
From the shadows
Thrown by a single lamp
I could see you watching
To check my response

You asked me
The question...
You needed to know
The answer
Dared me to tell

You asked me
As you stared deep
Into my eyes
Trying to read
My mind

I answered
With the only word
I felt
Was necessary...
Yes

Your eyes softened
And smiled
And they kissed me
As you watched
Me
