Across the game squares 

Feeling the board 

Shift with the players 

The game is never over 

Until the Queen 

Mates the King 

In her Castle 

While the Knights 

Look on and 

The Bishops bless 

The day

Sometimes it is difficult to tell which side the pieces are on.

Raucous cry
Summoning the dark King
To shelter
In the castle

Bishops weave their plans
Plot strange downfalls
For unaware people
As the cavalry
Trots past
To their secret destination





Wish I knew where it was going.
