An actual observation invited me to build a poem around it and so . . .

Pendulum marks
Interval between departures
Sparrows feed at the tube
Of seeds
Hanging from a branch
Sudden scare
Sparrows fly to cover
Pendulum counts
Again





. . . swinging from a branch.
