Diamonds And Blue

.
Observations on what is.

.
Diamonds And Blue         -       31 Jan 22

Across the night sky
Diamonds scattered
To gather the light
Of a myriad stars

And in the day sky
Blue satin wraps
The hills of our dreams
And gives wings to them

Diamonds and blue
Shine on always
Giving form to dreams
Words to the thoughts

.
Is beauty and tranquility.

Night Movement

A little sensuous feeling in the night.

Night Movement  -  12 Jul 15

In a velvet room
Wrapped in satin
Coloured by shades
Of the cool night air
Cocooned in comfort
As Love moves
Around us and fills us

Those subtle touches.

Jewel

Another Love song for your enjoyment.

Jewel  -  03 Dec 14

Diamond in the night
Reflecting stars
Moonlight glimmer
Behind cloud
But never dimmed

Shines the jewel
In satin wrapped
Kept in my pocket
Bright as your Love
Never dimmed

Night’s jewels
Glow in your eyes
Shine from your Heart
Showing me
Your Love

Love shines brightly.

Defining

A special Love song just because . . .

Defining  -  18 Sep 14

Soft satin hues
Beautiful blues
Are you in my mind

Subtle fragrance
Honeysuckle smooth
Reminds me of you

Music in my mind
Plays the dance
That is you ~ for me

These things and more
Claim to define you ~ impossible
Because you are unique

Impossible to define YOU.

Undreamed [Acrostic]

I have not created an acrostic for a while ~ so ... here goes.

Undreamed [Acrostic]  -  21 Feb 14

Under satin skies
Nothing can not be thought
Does imagination form
Round the secret worlds
Among the ways we want
Moments always moving
Endlessly for us
Dreams coming true

This was not what I was expecting but I still feel that it works.

The Kiss

This poem grew unexpectedly [don't most of them?] from a sad seed but developed into something rather special and, for me, just a bit different too...

The Kiss - 15 Jun 10

Beneath the
Silver
Sliver
Sickle
Newborn Moon
The rose lies bleeding
Abandoned
Petals strewn
Across the lawn
The kiss
Forgotten
Red on red

Satin sheets
Crumpled
Beneath her,
Lips waiting
For another kiss
She writhes
Slowly
Sinuously
Waiting for his breath
Against her skin
Again

Craving another kiss
She reaches out
To draw him close
Again
To wrap with
Arms
Legs
Body
And hold him closer
Closer

I really didn't expect this poem to form, from what started in my mind...I am wondering whether this marks a new departure for me, if so - where will it lead?
