Ship Of Dream

.
Sailing across new oceans.

Ship Of Dream      17 Nov 20

Sails taut with the wind
Pointing the way
Across the ocean
Through the open mind
The ship of dream
Carries me
To the new

New things to be found.

Changing

A journey to share Love.

Changing  -  03 May 18

Billowing sails
Wind carries my thoughts
Through the ever changing sky
My ship speeds across the waves
To bring me to you

To be with YOU.

Voyage

A poem commemorating the change of the year.

Voyage  -  31 Dec 17

Another journey
Around the sun reached
Completion
Voyage over for the moment

Captain asks for the sails
To be trimmed
A new voyage
Prepared

Between the stars
Again we voyage
Discovering
New worlds

Happy New Voyage.

Seeing Drifting Dreams

Dreaming reveals new worlds.

Seeing Drifting Dreams  -  17 Apr 17

Watching sails slip past
Each ship carries a memory
Another place
Another time
Days tell of desires
Fulfilled
And some still waiting
Dreams drift apart
To explore the other worlds
But always dreaming
Seeing possibilities
Always watching

Watching how they develop.

Tilt

This poem was a bit of a surprise to me.  As usual; the title came to me first then my mind inspired by Muse filled in the details.

Tilt  -  24 Nov 16

I have watched
The circular dance
Sails in the breeze
Now I ride
Lance in hand
The challenge
Has been laid
No windmill is safe

For those who are unaware tilting and jousting are used almost synonymously.

Numbers

Another poem, with just a hint of Love song, seen to wandering into "limite surrĂ©aliste" territory.
The concept for this work had been drifting through my mind for most of the day as the idea of numbers kept nagging at me.

Numbers  -  18 Nov 13

One hand raised
In greeting
Along with a friendly
Smile

To shape the thought
Of old worlds
Gently carved
From dreams

Three sails raised
Calling the wind
Journey soon
To the sun

For all our dreams
Of ancient times
We still carry
Through all our lives

Muse nags very gently.
