Shadows Of Night

.
Watching the performers dance.

.
Shadows Of Night    -  10 Oct 19

Light watches
The phantom dancers
As they slide
Gracefully into the
Shadows of night
To join the company
Of performers
Who dance in starlight

.
Starlight picks out their forms.

Moon Dances

Inspired by an early morning sighting of the Moon and a more recent one of her New phase just after sunset, this poem was birthed.

Moon Dances  -  20 Jul 15

Wrapped around New
Moon dances
Shows off her beauty
Always looking
Toward her Lover
Watching him
In their graceful
Dance

It is Lovely to watch the dance.

Conductor

This poem was born when I looked out of my "office" window late in the evening and noticed that the sky was turning purple and that it was a particularly windy evening.  Everything just fell into place and so, I present the conductor of today's piece ...

Conductor  -  31 Mar 13

Stage is set
Purple backdrop lowered
Orchestra plays the overture
The sequin stars shine
Upon the chorus
As the dancers take their places

For a moment
The conductor stands
Arms upraised ~ motionless
Then a flurry of wind
Shakes the branches
And the dancers take flight

I Love it when Muse suggests that I look in a certain direction and offers a word of inspiration.

Shadows of the Moon

Another of the poems which grew from seed in the very early hours of the day. This time I am not certain where the seed came from but I am pleased with the effect and thank my Muse for showing it to me.

Shadows of the Moon - 24 Dec 11

Moon shine
Sun dark
Whispers of falling stars
Tell me of times
When we danced
When we kissed
Just to remind me
Of how things were

And now…

Shadows In an abandoned well
Act out the drama
Upon the stage
Supported by cobwebs
Followed by the dancers
Singers of the plaintive song
Dancers in the shadows

And then…

We kissed again
Our thoughts mingled
Blended
Grew together
Became one
In the light of the Moon
She knew
Smiled at us

And always…

Glancing through the Eternal Moment.
