Unopened Doors

.
Remembered smells.

Unopened Doors        -        17 Aug 22

The smell of an
Unused cottage
Unopened doors
And windows
Hold the old within
Musty curtains
Filter the light
Dust scatters it
And a hint
Of ancient perfume
Remembers

Once, it was all new.

Listening [Acrostic]

An acrostic for your perusal today.

Listening [Acrostic]  -  13 Oct 16

Let us go
Into the void to listen
Songs tell of the ancient times
Through words from the beginning
Empty now the songs await
Needing only music
Inspiration of the sweetest kind
Nightingales talk about the
Golden era

Listen to the songs around you.

Songs Of Ages Past

A song which comes from the Dreamtime ~ the Spirit time before time.

Songs Of Ages Past  -  09 Apr 15

And who will sing
The songs of ancient times
Or tell the tales
That made our grandmothers
Smile in the night

Sitting in silence
Waiting for the songs
Grandmother whispered
These songs were old
Long before I heard them

Songs from the dawn
Recalled in our dreams
Earth heard them
When waves kissed the shore
And the wind sang along

At least, this is my personal interpretation of Dreamtime and where our dreams and legends are born.

Confusion

A new offering filled with "limite surrĂ©aliste", rather more than I was expecting.  I am not going to try to explain what this is about.

Confusion  -  21 Mar 14

Do not take me literally
For I do not know
Who I am or where I go
I have seen
I think I have seen
An ancient land
Or is it
A future world
Filled with colour
Only seen in dream
Or the realm
Of induced haze
Show me
The worlds
Of me
Sing my song

I leave it to you to tell me what it is about.

Calling On The Sea

This is another of the "home is calling" poems with a hint of Love song added into it.

Calling On The Sea  -  11 Nov 13

On ancient waters
Sailing
Slow with a breath
Your breath
Waters still
We move gently
Invited by the sun
To rest on
The distant shore
That calls us …
Calls us home

I Love these gentle songs.

Traveller

This was vaguely inspired by listening to some old songs and these first words arrived in my mind to fire my thoughts.

Traveller  -  22 Aug 13

I am a lonely traveller
Walking the empty streets
Looking for the one

Ancient tears
Have washed the dust
From my eyes
But still
My vision is blurred

Questing long
Still looking though I know
She waits for me
Somewhere
Somewhen
I will find her

Thank you Muse, for the suggestions.
