In the cave of night
Velvet dark caresses
Reassures
Allows the mind to wander
And dreams to explore
While holding the scarlet thread
Which will lead me back to you





I rather like the effect that this blend brings out.

Arachne's Thread

Sometimes just reading something will trigger a response in me and a few words can also trigger a new poem to form in my mind, such was the case today when the few words brought this out.

A single strand
Lifted from the web
Eternity woven
Leading into the
Wild land

Arachne
Gave her permission
To take the thread
Guiding the way
Through the
Labyrinth

Moon...
Lighting the way
Beyond the centre
Into another world
...offers her hand

Step
Forward
Explorer





I have walked a Labyrinth...the experience is as powerful as this poem indicates - more so, perhaps.
